15 Most Powerful & Dangerous Weapons in the World

via Military Update
15 Most Powerful & Dangerous Weapons in the World Weapons have changed and progressed throughout history. The first forms of weapons believed to have been used by man for hunting or self-defense were unshaped stones and wooden spears. Due to a number of shortcomings, short-range and inaccuracy, over time man came up with the idea to sharpen the stone and thus make it more dangerous. That is how we went from unformed stone and sticks to machine guns, Kalashnikovs, countless pistols and rifles, bombs, grenades, mines, mortars, etc. By exploring which are the most dangerous weapons of mass destruction, which are the largest nuclear bombs ever made and what is their range and lethality, which chemical weapons are the most dangerous, which weapons proved to be fatal in world wars, and then were advanced with today’s technology and science. Here are the 15 most powerful weapons in the world. Watch the video for more: https://youtu.be/8FaFKhl1VGE Make sure to share this video with your friends! T-90 Tank: The Russian Army's Deadliest Tank!

via Military Update
T-90 Tank: The Russian Army's Deadliest Tank! While the T-14 Armata might be Russia’s latest and greatest tank, it still is not ready for service. In order to bolster the capabilities of their more conventional tank fleet while the Armata is being prepared, Russia continues to modernize its current “top-tier” tanks, such as the T-90. Recently forty T-90Ms, the latest variant of the T-90, were reported to be ready for delivery in the near future to combat units. Similar to the M1A2 SEP v3, this is an upgrade kit that builds upon and improves the capabilities of the tank. It is unknown at this time whether the T-90Ms being delivered are kits being retrofitted to T-90s or T-90As. But how do these two souped-up tanks compare? Unlike earlier generations of Russian tanks, the T-90M has practically every feature that modern Western tanks enjoy. While earlier tanks sometimes lacked an independent commander thermal sight, instead only having independent commander day/night sights, the T-90M mounts the PK-PAN independent commander sight. The gunner’s sight is also thermal, the now-standard Sosna-U module. Both of these sights appear to still use the French Catherine thermal matrices, there is no indication that the Russian Irbis-K thermal modules have been implemented in the T-90M as it will be procured. These two sights are linked, with the tank’s information-management system able to pass a target designated by the commander directly to the gunner. Russian sources state that this is the first time such a feature has been implemented on a domestic tank. However, this has been a standard feature of Western tanks for some time. Here's Why Japanese Military Hard to Defeat

via Military Update
Here's Why Japanese Military Hard to Defeat Since the end of the Cold War, Japan’s security structure has been largely unchanged. The Defense Agency was uplifted to full ministerial status, and a layered missile defense was erected to counter North Korean ballistic missiles, but by and large the posture and composition of Japan’s Self Defense Forces was preserved. Caught flat footed by Chinese assertiveness in the East China Sea and Russian military flights near its borders, the government of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has implemented a raft of security improvements, from secrecy laws to the creation of a national security council modeled off the one that serves the U.S. President. An anemic economy has kept Japan’s defense spending flat or falling for two decades. According to a study by the Mizuho Bank, the Ministry of Defense’s acquisition budget fell 38 percent between 1990 and 2013. The number is roughly proportional to the amount of GDP the Japanese economy has lost during the same period. If Japan’s self-defense forces are to properly counter modern threats, they will need the right tools to do the job. Here are five weapons that Japan needs immediately. How Powerful is Russia's Military?

via Military Update
How Powerful is Russia's Military? Putin has clearly restored the effectiveness of Russia’s conventional armed forces (or of most of them), maintained and is modernizing the only nuclear arsenal in the world that is on a par with that of the US, and has reasserted Russia’s status as a major power, through carefully chosen military interventions and actions. Regarding the Russian armed forces, these are today organized into three services and two major independent commands or branches. The services are the Ground Forces, the Aerospace Forces (not Air Forces), and the Navy. The two independent commands are the Strategic Rocket Forces and the Airborne Forces (often referred to in English as the VDV, from the Latinised version by their Cyrillic abbreviation). 5 Incredible Weapons Programs That Only America Has

via Military Update
5 Incredible Weapons Programs That Only America Has Despite all the disruptions of 2021, Army modernization officials have tested new, longer-range and more precise infantry weapon systems. They also announced efforts that could lead to future machine guns, precision grenade launchers and possibly even hand-held directed energy weapons. Soldier lethality is a key Army modernization priority, one that has gained momentum since the service unveiled a strategy in 2017 to equip combat units with a new generation of air and ground combat systems. In the short term, the Army wants to field new squad-level weapons to close-combat units and a set of high-tech goggles that projects a sight reticle in front of soldiers' eyes. The service announced long-term efforts to develop new belt-fed, crew-served weapons, as well as to begin thinking about what infantry weapons will look like decades from now. Here's a look at five weapons-related programs Military.com has reported on this year: Watch the video for more: https://youtu.be/CWjJeV8k7Wc Make sure to share this video with your friends! These Russia's Most Powerful Submarines Has The US Navy Worried

via Military Update
These Russia's most powerful submarines has the US Navy Worried The Russian Navy finally commissioned the Kazan, its first Yasen-M-class nuclear-powered guided-missile submarine (SSGN). Kazan is the lead boat of a subclass descended from the Yasen class, the first of which, Severodvinsk, was commissioned in 2013. Kazan is the culmination of more than a decade of effort to field a new and completely modern SSGN, and it is a marked improvement in nearly every respect over its predecessor, which already had US commanders and their NATO allies worried. Severodvinsk and Kazan represent a new chapter for Russia’s submarine force – long considered the most important part of the Russian Navy. This Is Why No Nation Wants to Fight the Leopard 2 Tank

via Military Update
This Is Why No Nation Wants to Fight the Leopard 2 Tank The Leopard 2 is one of the world’s most common main battle tanks, used by militaries on four continents. As such, the market for upgrades that bring the older versions up to the latest standards of protection and lethality is large. The primary player here is Krauss-Maffei Wegman, the original designer of the Leopard 2, who markets a variety of kits and new versions of the Leopard 2. Before delving into the details of the update kits, it’s important to realize what standard the majority of the world’s Leopards are at. The majority of Leopard 2s operated worldwide are of the Leopard 2A4 standard, which was made between 1985 and 1992. The Leopard 2A4 has the characteristic flat turret front, an all-digital fire-control system, an L44 gun, a hydraulic turret drive, and a thermal gunner’s sight. They do not have an independent thermal commander's sight, advanced guns, or add-on armor. Watch the video for more: https://youtu.be/plig-9dBb3Q Make sure to share this video with your friends! The True Reason Why Russia Has Never Become an Aircraft Carrier Superpower

via Military Update
The True Reason Why Russia Has Never Become an Aircraft Carrier Superpower The Soviet Union was one of the largest, most industrial proficient countries the world has ever seen. Yet for all of its engineering talent and manufacturing capacity, during the 74 years the USSR existed it never fielded a true real aircraft carrier. The country had several plans to build them, however, and was working on a true carrier, the Ulyanovsk, at the end of the Cold War. After the Communists' victory in 1917, science and engineering were pushed to the forefront in an attempt to modernize Russia and the other Soviet republics. The military was no exception, and poured resources into then-advanced technologies such as tanks, airborne forces, and ground and aerial rockets.
